Cougars Compete at NECC Cross Country Championships

The Central Noble boys cross country team turned in a strong performance this weekend, finishing fifth overall with a team score of 125 and a total time of 1:36:44.28. Leading the way for the Cougars was Kyle Knafel, who continued his impressive season with a time of 16:53.25, earning 6th place overall and the team’s top finish. Keegan Knight followed close behind, taking 15th with a time of 17:41.86, while Ruger Lough wasn’t far back, placing 19th at 18:01.42. Max Lower rounded out the scoring pack with a 28th-place finish in 19:06.96, and Kayne Sparrow completed the team’s effort in 71st place with a time of 22:48.60. On the girls’ side, Adelaide Hopf led the way with a standout performance, finishing 13th overall in 21:23.52, continuing her strong season. Suryha Steele also had a solid run, placing 48th with a time of 26:20.82. The Cougars’ consistent performances across the board helped secure their top-five team placement. The group continues to show steady improvement as they build momentum heading into the final stretch of the season.
