Lady Cougar Track Compete At Turtle Town Invite

The Central Noble girls track and field team had a busy and competitive day at the Turtle Town Invitational, posting several standout performances across the board. In the 100 meters, Whitney Replogle led the Cougars, finishing 6th with a time of 14.26 seconds and earning three team points. Cheslynn Showalter also impressed, placing 8th in 14.46 seconds. Moving to the 200 meters, Showalter continued her strong day, clocking 29.20 to finish 6th and add three more points for Central Noble. Jaylee Slone also competed in the event but did not record a time. In the 400 meters, Kaitlyn Dunafin crossed the line in 1:11.39 to finish 16th, with Suryah Steele following closely behind at 1:13.31 in 18th place. Distance events saw solid runs from Adelaide Hopf, who placed 9th in the 800 meters with a time of 2:43.05, and 10th in the 1600 meters at 6:10.11. Suryah Steele also ran the 800 but did not finish. The Cougars showed strength in the hurdles as well. In the 100-meter hurdles, Jozelynne McFall secured 7th place in 18.37 seconds, earning two points, while Madilyn Skinner was 8th with an 18.77 finish, picking up one point. Central Noble’s relay teams had a strong showing. The 4x100 relay team of McFall, Showalter, Skinner, and Replogle placed 3rd, posting a time of 55.45 seconds and scoring six crucial points. In the 4x400 relay, the team of Steele, Dunafin, Taylor Custer, and Hopf finished 6th in 4:44.49. In the field events, Whitney Replogle placed 7th in the long jump with a mark of 13’ 9”, and Lydia Skinner jumped 11’ 3” to finish 18th. In the high jump, Jaylee Slone unfortunately recorded no height. The throwing events were a highlight for Central Noble. In the shot put, Mallory Bremer captured 2nd place with a big toss of 33’ 7.75”, racking up eight points for the team. Taylor Custer also competed, placing 22nd with a throw of 20’ 1.25”. In the discus, Bremer added another strong performance, finishing 6th with a throw of 90’ 6”. Lily Hopf also competed in discus, throwing 51’ 9” to place 20th. Overall, the Central Noble girls showed great effort and determination throughout the meet, bringing home several top finishes and valuable points.
