Central Noble Varsity Cougars Fall After Strong Showing By Fremont Varsity Eagles By GameChanger Media Central Noble Varsity Cougars couldn't keep up with Fremont Varsity Eagles and fell 10-3 on Wednesday. Fremont Varsity Eagles opened the scoring in the second after Matt Teegardin hit into a double play, but one run scored. Fremont Varsity Eagles scored three runs in the bottom of the third on a home run to center field by Tyler Miller. Colten Guthrie earned the win for Fremont Varsity Eagles. The starting pitcher gave up five hits and three runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out eight and walking one. Corbin Douglas took the loss for Central Noble Varsity Cougars. The starting pitcher went three innings, allowing four runs on three hits, striking out three and walking one. Landen Burkhart, Parker Boots, Samuel Hoover, Treyton Fletcher, and Douglas each collected one hit for Central Noble Varsity Cougars. Hoover led Central Noble Varsity Cougars with two runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-1 on the day. Central Noble Varsity Cougars turned one double play in the game.
