Central Noble Varsity Cougars With Tough Game Against Homestead By GameChanger Media Central Noble Varsity Cougars couldn't keep up with Homestead and fell 18-0 on Thursday. Homestead jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after an error scored three runs, B Borchers doubled, scoring one run, and T Rodgers doubled, scoring three runs. Homestead added one run in the second after Central Noble Varsity Cougars committed an error. Homestead scored nine runs on 10 hits in the top of the third inning. M Rodgers singled, scoring two runs, G Jordan singled, scoring two runs, Borchers homered to left field, scoring two runs, M Burbrink doubled, scoring one run, Rodgers singled, scoring one run, and O Schulthies hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run. C Rosine earned the win for Homestead. The pitcher gave up three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out four and walking four. Gwen Swank took the loss for Central Noble Varsity Cougars. The starting pitcher went five innings, surrendering 18 runs (12 earned) on 16 hits, striking out two and walking five. Grace Swank, Kaitlyn Tilley, and Ahydan Wabika each collected one hit for Central Noble Varsity Cougars. Homestead piled up 16 hits in the game.
