Powerful Pitching Performance From Grace Swank Carries Central Noble Varsity Cougars Past DeKalb By GameChanger Media Grace Swank struck out 21 batters as the starting pitcher led Central Noble Varsity Cougars past DeKalb 3-2 on Friday. Swank surrendered four hits and two runs over seven innings while walking two. The pitching was strong on both sides. Central Noble Varsity Cougars pitchers struck out 21, while DeKalb sat down 11. Central Noble Varsity Cougars were the first to get on the board in the first when Swank hit a solo home run to left field. S Haverstock took the loss for DeKalb. The starting pitcher went seven innings, allowing three runs on three hits, striking out 11 and walking three. Chelsea Fleshman, Swank, and Katie Forker each collected one hit for Central Noble Varsity Cougars. Fleshman, Swank, and Forker each drove in one run for Central Noble Varsity Cougars. Central Noble Varsity Cougars were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Ahyden Wabika had the most chances in the field with 20. Haverstock led DeKalb with one run batted in.
